Naija has been swimming in Aquaria's waters for a long time. It is all she knows. As she explores her world, she knows that one day she will go to the surface, and that day has come. Naija approaches the Veil, the water's surface. Her heart beats heavily in her chest. She is excited, but fearful. How will she feel when she gets out of the water? Naija manages to see a blue sky and a small flying creature in the distance. It is a bird, but Naija does not know that. Naija is very close to the Veil. One more effort and... She pierces it. Everything around her turns white and when Naija can see again, she sees a sky, but it isn’t blue. Where am I? She wonders. This... this isn’t Aquaria! Naija, not wanting to panic, dives back into the water, but it is not Aquaria's water. Its color is different and Naija doesn’t feel the Verse’s magic. No, no, NO! She pulls her head out of the water and, at that moment, she sees him.

Abe approaches a body of water. He knows he can't swim, but he likes to watch Mudos' nature. Suddenly, Abe sees a head sticking out of the water. The head of an unknown female creature. She has short white hair, blue eyes and smooth green skin. Her ears look like long fins. I should talk to her.
"Hello. My name is Abe."
***
Naija, hearing the male creature making strange sounds, swims away. He starts yelling something at her so she turns around and gets closer to him. Despite everything, Naija keeps a good distance between her and this creature. After all, it may be a trap.
***
"Thank you. You're back." Said Abe, reassured. "You... Do you understand what I'm saying?"
The white-haired creature remains silent.
"Can you speak?" Abe then asks and vocalizes.
***
Naija knows these sounds. They sound like the Verse’s notes. She then begins to sing the eight magical notes, one at a time. This seems to surprise the male creature.
***
"Wow, that's incredible! Look, I don't know your name, or where you're from, but I want to help you." Abe reaches his hand toward her. "Take my hand, please."
***
Naija hesitates. Can she trust him? But he... he holds out his hand to me. He smiles at me, but his eyes are sad. I don't know where I am and I need all the help I can get. So... I... Naija dives into the water and swims towards him. She comes out near his hand and takes it gently. This makes them both shiver.
Author's comment: A crossover that may seem strange but I enjoyed writing it. Also more Aquaria fanfiction are always welcome.
